Digital credit expansion increases the verification burden
Equifax announced a definitive agreement to acquire Círculo de Crédito, a Mexican credit information services company, for a $750 million enterprise value. Equifax described the move as expansion into Mexico, the second-largest economy in Latin America, and highlighted cloud-native capability, AI, identity protection, fraud prevention, financial inclusion, alternative data, and digital solutions.
Círculo de Crédito is described as serving more than 1,700 bank, retail, fintech, small-business lending, microfinance, and telecommunications customers, with 2 billion tradelines covering 80 million validated identities.
That combination makes Mexico/LATAM a high-priority VYQ OS intelligence lane: identity, credit, onboarding, payments, alternative data, fraud prevention, and verification before financial action.
